Speaker: Stephanie Duer
"Strategies for Surviving a Drought"
 

Stephanie Duer has been with Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities since 2001, when she was hired to create, manage, and grow a water conservation program for the Utilities’ service area, the most populated, industrialized, and commercialized metropolitan center in Utah.

Previous to joining Public Utilities, Stephanie worked in the landscape industry as a designer and contractor for residential and commercial water-wise landscapes in Northern California, Colorado, Nebraska, and Utah. She has also worked as a high school teacher, and campaign and grass-roots organizer. Besides working for SLC, she also teaches adult ed classes through UofU Lifelong Learning. 

Stephanie holds a BA in Political Theory from San Jose State University, a Graduate Credential in Secondary Education, also from SJSU, and a Master of Professional Communication from Westminster College.
